Destination Planning
This involves a range of work which we have successfully undertaken for both private and public clients.
Typically this work includes: planning for destination management intiatives, data research which supports this work , community aspirations and product development.
While in the role of City Marketing Manger for Enterprise Dunedin, I managed the rewrite of the existing Dunedin Destination Plan, which was first published in 2018. This work involved establishing, procuring and managing the chosen contractors throughout much of the process.
Destination Management initiatives while in the above role and aligned to STAPP funding in 21/22 included: community views on tourism, product development review, resilience training and carbon neutral initiatives.
Other Destination Managment work has included:
- Destination planning and initiatives related to the proposed Mackenzie Heritage Centre in Lake Tekapo
- Destination planning and initiatives related to Sanctuary Island Maungatautari
- Destination planning and initiatives related to the redevelopment of Museum of Transport and Technology
- Various destination planning initiatives with other partners including potential redevelopment of Ohakea Airforce Museum, Brunner Inustrial Site, Tirau Crimeatorium, Awaroa/Godley Head and the Oxford Bee Centre
- Feasibility studies have also been completed for Mercury Bay Museum, Raglan and District Museum and Te Wairoa – The Buried Village.
